Adding Divers

There are two ways to add a new diver to DiveManager.

Method 1 — Manual entry (from the list)

  1. Go to Diver Management in the left sidebar.
  2. Click the + Add Diver button in the top-right corner.
  3. A form slides open on the right side of the screen. Fill in:
    • First and last name (required)
    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • Certification level and federation
  4. Click Save. You are taken directly to the new diver's profile page where you can fill in additional details.

Method 2 — During an express booking

When you book a walk-in customer who isn't in the system yet, you can create their record on the spot directly from the booking wizard. A new diver record is automatically created and linked to the booking.

Method 3 — Self-registration (online booking)

When a new customer books online through your public booking page, DiveManager creates a diver record automatically from the information they provide during checkout.

tip

Even if a customer books online, it's a good idea to verify and complete their profile (certification details, DAN number, emergency contact) the first time they visit the dive center.

Method 4 — Bulk import via Excel

If you're migrating from another system or already have a customer list in a spreadsheet, you can import all divers at once.

  1. Go to Diver Management and click the import/export icon (top-right).
  2. Click Download template to get the .xlsx file with the correct column headers.
  3. Fill in the template with your diver data. The only required columns are First name and Last name.
  4. Save the file and click Import.
  5. DiveManager shows a preview of the detected data. Rows with errors are highlighted — fix them in the file and re-import if needed.
  6. Click Confirm import to save all valid records.
tip

You can also export your existing divers to Excel for backup or bulk editing: click Export to download a .xlsx file with your full diver database.
