Express (Walk-in) Booking
The Express Booking wizard is designed for speed — you can get a walk-in customer booked onto a trip in under a minute.
How to open it
Click the Express Booking button in the top navigation bar (available from anywhere in the dashboard). It opens a multi-step wizard.
Step 1 — Select a trip
Choose the trip you want to book the diver onto. The list shows today's and upcoming trips with their remaining capacity. You can search by trip title or date.
Step 2 — Select or create a diver
- Existing diver — type their name or email to search. Select them from the results.
- New diver — if they're not in the system yet, fill in their basic details. A new diver record is created automatically.
The form asks for:
- First and last name
- Phone
- Certification level and federation (useful to track on the first visit)
- DAN number (optional)
- Emergency contact
Step 3 — Booking details

| Notes | Internal notes for this specific booking |
Step 4 — Confirm
Review the summary and click Confirm Booking. The booking is created immediately and appears on the trip manifest.
tip
If the trip is full, the system warns you before you confirm. You can still proceed as an override if you know there's room (e.g., a cancellation that hasn't been processed yet).
What happens next
- The diver receives a confirmation email (if they have an email address on file)
- The booking appears on the trip detail page
- The diver's booking history is updated on their profile
